The Friends of Cliffside Park Public
Library recently donated a room divider for the library's meeting room.
With the new acquisition the library will be able to hold more than one
program at the same time in the meeting room. The library patrons and the
administration want to express their many thanks for all the efforts and
dedication employed by the Friends group.

Within the library you can find the local history room,
sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Lawrence Matthias, historian for the
Friends group researched for two years, collecting old photos, newspaper
articles, official documents covering our town history since the
incorporation of the borough of Cliffside Park in 1895, and displayed them in
a wonderful arrangement. The history room was dedicated in the spring of
2002.
Larry collected all these materials about the history of Cliffside Park in a book
format that was published after his sad passing. The book is now available in print or digital
download at the following link:
